At Hotel Ulli, we have completely renovated a third of the 33 rooms and suites for the coming winter season and given them a new coat. During the renovation, the main focus was on regional materials – in keeping with the Arlberg hotel tradition, oak from the Lech Valley was used for the new rooms. In harmony with oak, pine wood can also be found in the newly renovated rooms. Pine wood is used in Austria particularly often because it has soothing, health-promoting and many other positive properties. With these two regional materials, oak and pine wood, the Hotel Ulli not only promises a stay with a special sense of well-being, but also represents the Arlberg from its most beautiful side.
Together with our master carpenter from the Tyrolean Lechtal, the planning of the renovation work was carried out in loving detail. All craftsmen involved, such as electricians, plumbers, tilers, upholsterers and also the architect’s office, come from the immediate region and have tackled the renovation with much joy and verve. Inspired by the personal enthusiasm for Latin America of the hotelier a new Whiskey Lounge was established. This offers the ultimate setting to enjoy rum or whiskey and a classic Cuban cigar after a successful day of skiing. With paneled walls of pine wood, the Little Havana Bar combines Alpine tradition with South American flair
Despite the conversion and renovation work, the very typical Ulli charm remains to the house and was expanded by a chapter. The hotel welcomes all guests with a lot of personal character, unique spaces and high-quality and regional materials
